Funboat Rudder assembly  Mk 2 complete.

The original Funboat rudder assembly is no longer available complete because the tooling for part of the tiller has become obsolete.

NB The original rudder head, rudder blade,  polyflex strop, tiller extension & universal joint are still available – See separate listings for these individual items.

However we have an alternative complete assembly that works well.

The alternative, or MK2, rudder assembly is more conventional in that the tiller is fixed in the head whilst the blade pivots between the cheeks of the head with up & down lines to a cleat on the tiller.

Whilst it is true a few people have expressed a preference for the original arrangement before they tried it on the whole people seem to prefer the Mk2 version.

In any event the cost of replacing the tooling for the original tiller  is prohibitively expensive…
